Issue:

I have two computers, one with an almost empty hard drive. I want to hook it to the computer I am using.

Question :

How do I physically network two computers, using same modem and monitor?

    hook the computer you are not using, to the your home network, if you dont have one create one, then set the C:/ drive as a share drive.

    i think u mean how to use 2 computers with One monitor ? ..ur question lacks information.

    but, heres an attempt.

    1. If u want to network 2 PC’s together. . u need a Cross over Cable (Cat5) and u need to set up a LAN within ur 2 pc’s..
    follow the instructions below:

    If both machines have a network card installed, purchase a CAT5 Cross-over cable and simply connect the two computers through the NIC’s.: http://wpool.com/cablesharing/4.htm

    2. If u want to use both simultaneously with one monitor, 1 keyboard & mouse. Then u need a KVM switch.

    3. Or you can just take out the Old almost empty HDD and put it into the PC u are using. as a Slave.
